FAQS:

Before we start moving things around, here’s the scoop!

  • The answer is mostly “nope!” The main thing we’d like to emphasize is that we focus on organizing and sorting, rather than cleaning or housekeeping. We do like to get a genuine feel for how you operate in your home on a daily basis so leave your belongings out as you normally would! We completely understand that having someone go through your stuff can be unsettling, but we want you to know that we’re here to support you. Your comfort is our priority. There's no judgment from us!

  • We totally understand that life can be unpredictable, and we’re always here to work with you on any changes. To ensure smooth planning and organization, we kindly request a 48-hour notice for any consultation cancellations or rescheduling and a 2-week notice for any projects in the works. This helps us manage our schedule effectively and accommodate other clients. *There is a cancellation charge to cover the planning and preparation invested in the consults and projects if there isn’t adequate notice.

  • Yes, of course! We would be honored to have a lil’ meet-&-greet with your pet besties!

  • It truly depends on the scope of the project! Every space functions differently and that’s why an Initial Consultation is required in the beginning. After we get a good look at your spaces that need some love, we will have a better idea of how long a project should take and what session pricing or plan is best for you!

  • Minimal participation is required on your part! We just ask that you communicate your likes, dislikes, hopes, and dreams for your place. If we are downsizing on any personal items we do ask that you take a moment to go through those things with us or prior to as we do not make executive decisions on what to get rid of (unless it is very obviously a piece of garbage.) We try not to give clients “homework” but if you want some instruction because you’re feeling motivated, just let us know!

  • If you don’t need to purge any items we can definitely do our thing if you need to leave or work! We’re most productive when we’re able to focus without distractions! We LOVE an end of appointment day reveal because here at Sorted, surprises are FUN and not scary— we promise! Be prepared to say, “OMG! Where did you put everything!?” and we’ll show ya!

  • Many many stores and online shops! Our shopping approach takes various factors into account, such as budget, client preference/style, timeline, and product availability, to name a few. We like to personalize every project so we’ll search high and low to make your place feel like it’s a reflection of you!

  • We sort all around the Seattle Metropolitan area! We’ve also recently expanded projects outside of the city but we do tack on a mileage fee if you are located 30 minutes from Seattle city limits. Oh and tolls if Ferries are involved!

Lil Deets:

Another cozy corner of important info!

  • Most larger projects require multiple sessions to ensure adequate time is reserved for completion. Sessions purchased together are eligible for discounted pricing, with larger session commitments receiving greater savings. If your project is completed in less time than the total session hours purchased, any unused hours will be prorated and credited back to you.

  • Sessions can be applied to a range of organizing and design services, including decluttering, organizational system development, interior decorating, space planning, donation removal, and the selection of materials, furnishings, and décor.

  • There will be a $0.90 per mile charge for any travel 30 minutes outside of Seattle proper in Washington State. Ferry travel will also incur toll charges.

  • We'll provide estimates for any products we purchase. This payment will be required upfront before items are bought. *Product purchases will have a small up charge + state sales tax added in.

  • The consultation fee can be applied to your project cost if you confirm your booking within 14 days of receiving the plan.

  • We require a 48-hour notice for consult cancellations/rescheduling and a 2-week notice for any projects in the works to avoid fees.
